Immediate Release: Piedmont, Al - Bostrom Seating, Inc. a business unit of Accuride Corporation, will be introducing their new “C-Series” next generation line of seats for the heavy-duty truck market beginning in the fall of 2004. In a statement from Robert L. Jackson, President & CEO, Bostrom Seating he said; “The introduction of our new seating products represents a significant advancement in seating technology for the heavy truck market. In the development of this product line, we relied heavily on data collected in field interviews with over-the-road drivers. These interviews provided our engineering department with specific advancements that drivers wanted to see designed into this new generation of seats. Not surprisingly, many of the desired features were comfort and safety oriented. The result is a line of seats which provide improved safety features and a wide range of ergonomic design enhancements. Our next generation of seating designs provides a more comfortable ride with better lumbar support and improved circulation all of which contribute to a reduction in driver fatigue.” The new series includes three models. The Wide Ride XC which is the ultimate in comfort and luxury comes standard with features such as; infinitely adjustable - 3 chamber lumbar support; extended adjustable armrests, redesigned seat cushion which uses next generation high density foam and adjustable cushion length. These seats will feature an Automatic Seat Leveling system (ALS), memory and EZ exit system all air powered, eliminating the need for electric power. A convenient, easy to reach, re-configured molded plastic control console houses all of the controls required for total seat adjustment. The suspension system is wider with a centered shock absorber for improved stability. These seats will also feature 9 ½” of fore / aft adjustment and are available with the Motion Master® ride management system for the ultimate ride control. The Freedom XC and Liberty XC also feature many of the same design characteristics and comfort features found in the top of the line Wide Ride but aimed at the more value conscious. All three seats in the new series are available in a wide range of fabrics and coverings with a variety of colors to choose from.
